Recipe of the Week: Matt's Famous Orange Smoothie

Matt is a smoothie-maker extraordinaire...and it's orange season around here! We are surrounded by orange trees in both the front and back yards, so what better way to use oranges than a smoothie for breakfast or a nighttime snack? This is Matt's fantastic recipe - be sure to use a high powered blender or food processor - amount of ingredients may need to be reduced depending on the strength of your blender :o)

Matt's Famous Orange Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
4 OR 5 peeled whole oranges (depends on size)
6-8 whole frozen strawberries
1 cup yogurt (strawberry, cherry, your choice!)
1 c cool whip
5 ice cubes
**for a little "zing", add a few cranberries

DIRECTIONS
Place ingredients in blender in the order listed above, starting with the oranges. Blend or crush until smooth.

Makes two LARGE smoothies or four small ones.

Enjoy!
