Just Call Me Betty Crocker

We're having a little family celebration later today. At the monthly California Madsen family dinner, we are also celebrating Gigi, McKay and Zack's birthday. This month we will be eating at Josh and Tiffany's house. Last night, I decided to make a little something extra, besides my assigned salad (which will ALSO be awesome, I am sure...).

Behold - soccer ball cupcakes in honor of ZACK's b-day, the big 11. The "grass" is coconut with green food coloring.

You know, sometimes I truly amaze myself :)

Well Betty, I'm amazed right with ya! So, how was your salad?

I love how the Madsens enjoy monthly Sunday dinners. And the cupcakes look delicious -- you and your obsession with ROUND BALLS and metal tins! Make football shaped ones for Saturday's game! (Blue frosting and Y's, please)

That's some pretty cool cupcakes! I just made plain-jane brownies and made my kids get them out of the pan themselves. No they weren't Mary-Jane brownies...that's for my graduation party next month! Boy you're a good cook!

the salad was awesome! I'll have to post the recipe. Spinach, feta cheese, pomegranate, walnuts, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette dressing. YUM!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Definitely tried the Supernanny thing. Didn't work either. My son is too smart for his own good!

Oh and speaking of salads. Do you have any idea who made that salad at Matt' luncheon? That was SO GOOD.

Where do I find the TIME? Well, I bake instead of cleaning :) Fair trade!
