This week's Tuesday Tell-All was inspired by the following quote:
We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
Of course, this is the time of year we think about New Years Resolutions...I have never been very big on setting them, but perhaps this should be something I should reconsider. What would I like to accomplish as an individual person this year? What would we like to accomplish as a family?
The family one is an easy one. Since we are in the process of certifying to foster and adopt a child, our biggest goal as a family will most definitely be to welcome this child into our home and make sure that he/she feels loved, wanted, and safe. Adding a child to the family will not be easy, but I know that we will all be better for it. We are all very excited about it!
Personally, the good old "lose weight" resolution always seems to be lurking around...I want to look like THIS again!!
Yep, that's me in the middle of my hot sisters Emily and Jessica, back in 2004. Time to get back to the gym again. :o) My 20-year high school reunion is coming up this year! Frightening!
Every year I mainly just try to be better...a better mom, better wife, better teacher, better daughter of God...just better!
Focus word for the year 2008: FAMILY!

those are great resolutions! How exciting that you will be adopting in 2008! Something to definitely look forward to.
The whole weight loss thing....I always fail at that one from day one. **sigh** I just love food.

Keep up the good work - I know it's hard!!!! I've been trying to do better too! That 20 year thing is a bit scary!
