Tagged Again!

Alright, I've been tagged by Kim, so here we go...

20 years ago:
I was 18 years old, had just started college at Dixie College in St. George, UT the previous fall. I was living with my grandparents for that first year of college. My grandma did my laundry for me and cooked for me. Spoiled. I was involved in choir and theater at Dixie, and was in charge of our choir's pop concert in the spring. I met TONS of really cool people at Dixie that first year - friends for life. I worked part time in the theater department at the college.

CORRECTION: Valerie so nicely pointed out that I was NOT in college yet - still a Senior in HS - working at Frostop and only going to school half a day - work release the rest of the time. I worked for my dad (which meant working on my tan and answering his work phone when it rang). I was involved in student government and getting ready to go to Hawaii for my senior trip. I am getting senile - I can't keep my years straight!

10 years ago:
I was 27 years old. My first baby Zachary had just been born at the end of 1997. What a joy! My pregnancy was a difficult one at the beginning, and I had waited for him for a long time. After a 24 hour labor, there he was! That year was spent getting to know my little baby, learning to be a mom, and moving YET AGAIN (I had moved at least 10 separate times in the previous 10 years...a trend that seems to have continued to this day...).

5 things on my to-do list today:
1. Make dinner
2. Finish the book I am reading
3.Normally I would be going to church, but Zack and I are still recovering from our illness!
4. Play some board games with Zachary
5. Rest so I can fully recover (man, this list makes me look REALLY lazy)

5 Snacks I enjoy:
This one is easy!
1. Salt and Pepper Chips
2. Matt's Chocolate Chip Cookies
3. Apples and cheese
4. Diet Coke :o)
5. Pretty much any dessert at PF Chang's

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
What WOULDN'T I do?? Anything I wanted!

5 places I have lived:
Kanab, UT
St. George, UT
Charlotte, NC
Pleasanton, CA
Clovis, CA

5 jobs that I have had:
1. Frostop (high school)
2. Charlotte Chamber of Commerce
3. Contra- Costa County Department of Child Support Services
4. Moccasin Justice Court
5. Best Friends Animal Society

5 Things people don't know about me:
1. I turned 18 in Hawaii - I had to learn the hula in front of all my classmates at a luau.
2. I have never eaten a beet, and I never will.
3. I love the smell of VINEGAR. Strange, I know.
4. I hope to do theater again one of these days, when my kids are older.
5. I think clowns are totally creepy (the movie Poltergeist RUINED me as a kid.)

I'm sorry, but I must correct you. 20 years ago you were a senior in high school and as I recall, both you an me had work release. We both worked for our dads. I went and learned the auto parts business and you basked in the sun working on that tan. Oh yah, and answered a phone every now and again! Your first year of college was fun to hear about though! ;-)

I love your grandparents! They always made me feel so welcomed and comfortable when I came to visit! An interesting fact: At the very same time I attended your grandparents missionary farewell, accompanying the family singing Army of Helaman, Damon was giving his farewell talk in his ward (before I knew him.) I learned this info through a newspaper clipping Damon's mom had saved!

Oh my goodness you are right! I am going to have to fix that. I am getting old - I can't keep track of what happened when!

I saw that about the beets!!!! I am going to get you to eat one even if you are 110 years old and surrounded by grandchildren armed with red hot pokers! DJ on the other hand is supportive of your hatred of beets and will fight on your side in the battle of the beets. boo!
