What reminds you of summer?

Homemade slip n slides, flavored ice, and ice cream trucks. Yum!
yes! the slip-n-slide! We bought one two summers ago for the kids and they LOVED it. Dylan even said it was better than having a pool :)
I could eat the Strawberry short kook otter pop all day long! Yum
When I think of sumer..all I can think of is the dreaded sunburn. No matter what I do, I always get a wicked one...owie.
Blue Bell Bullet popsicles. Particularly the orange ones (my FAVORITE!).
The sound of the ice cream truck's chimes. That is the sound of summer!
Otter pops, popcicles and the ice cream man. Screaming kids, bikes, smelly kids from being in the sun too long (especially boys!). I just plain love summer! I could do without Vegas heat though LOL!
Oh Otter Pops, I love Otter Pops!
Otter Pops! I'd forgotten all about Otter Pops! We live on a lake, so for me, summer is the sound of boats on the lake.
The smell of sunscreen and the beach. love the coconut smell.
it's weird, but the smell of gasoline and freshly cut grass reminds me of summer... makes me think of my grandfather's garage. We lived 8 hours away from my grandparents, so usually the only time we would visit was for 2-3 weeks during the summer. So now when I smell the combination of gasoline and cut grass, I remember summers and Nana & Pap's.
When the evenings start to turn into "summer nights" you know, when it's not hot but you still don't even need a jacket? And you can stay outside playing, talking, eating, etc. until dark. I LOVE summer nights!
I also think of sleeping on the trampoline, swimming pools, flip flops, and shorts!
My three favs:
1. Sprinkler under the tramp
2. Orange push-up's at G&G's
3. Dad's GARDEN!
aaaah... I love summer!!
Our generation of grandkids (not to make you feel much older than me... oops) had push-ups at grandma and grandpa Pratt's house. Yum-Yum!
Hey Laura - I'm not too OLD to remember the push ups! We got those, too! (Did you ever get to walk to the store up by the temple? me and Amelia used to do that ALL the time!)
We got those push up pops as kids, too- a big box of 'em every summer! Reminders of summer for me-- sunburns ;), driving with the windows down, cookouts...
