A Boy and His Cat

When we got our new goat Zig Zag, we also adopted an outdoor cat for the kiddos - named Butterscotch. He is a very pretty, very sweet cat. We made a deal with him...he takes care of any mice that might be running around the barn, and we feed him and love him. Dylan LOVES this cat. He has nicknamed him "Butter" and this cat follows him around when he plays outside, just like a little puppy dog. It's very cute. Last night they were traipsing through the underbrush, fighting weeds, bad guys and taking turns rescuing each other.

This morning I couldn't find Dylan, and I looked out the back window to see him sitting on the porch (40 degrees outside - brr!) with "Butter" lying on his lap, enjoying some Dylan-love. We should all be so lucky to have to unconditional love of a little boy. (The photo isn't as clear as it could be because I took it through the sliding glass door - I didn't want to disturb the moment!)
