Edward or Jacob? Hmmm...

If you "get" this shirt, and it made you laugh, then we need to be friends.

Fashion Smashion: SERIOUSLY?!?!

I surf, so you don't have to. Seriously folks - these items are FOR SALE on a couple of different websites. I am NOT naming them, lest you lose your sanity for a moment and actually order something. I won't be held responsible for that kind of nonsense.

Pink. With zippers. Nice.

Ugh. Well, I suppose Lady Gaga has to shop, too...

For those days when you just don't want to leave anything to the imagination...MESH shorts. Classy.

I'm Classy.

These are my sunglasses:

I love them. I've never been bothered by the fact that I totally buy CHEAP sunglasses. When I saw these at Target for a mere $12.99, I snapped them right up. I wear them every day. When I bought them, I loved the little bit o' bling, and I thought they looked pretty classy.

UNTIL...

I was stopped at a stoplight the other day and a raging, scary looking crack ho was crossing the street in front of me...wearing the EXACT. SAME. SUNGLASSES. AS. ME.

Hmm. Perhaps I need to re-think this whole cheap sunglasses thing. And did you know that crack ho's also shop at Target?

Go figure.

A Little Bit of Crazy to Start Your Day

Because this is definitely how I would spend an extra $12,000.00, wouldn't you?

Fashion Smashion: How a Sheet Became a Wedding Dress

Brilliant.

Do we really need to spend thousands on a wedding gown? I don't think so.

The Process:

Lovely.

Fashion Smashion: I Could Never Pull This Off

...but I wish I could. I am loving these incredible necklaces! Although I am afraid that if I went grocery shopping or to the park with the kids with one of THESE babies on, I might get a few awkward glances...

Fashion Smashion: You Could Not PAY Me to Wear These

(Well, maybe you could pay me, but it'd have to be a LOT, man. A WHOLE LOT.)

File this under "what the heck was she thinking??"

Love Jennifer Hudson, hate these unflattering, zippered harem pants she wore on the Today show.

Fashion Smashion: Buyers Must Think We Are All Idiots

Seriously??

And you can have these bad boys for the low, low price of only $282.00.

OR - - you can send me $50.00 and I can MAKE you some with a pair of $29.99 Old Navy jeans and a bottle of bleach.

Your choice.

Fashion Smashion: WHO Thought THIS Was a Good Idea??

What the heck is up with all the so-called 'summer scarves' I am seeing for sale everywhere? Everyone from Nordstrom to Target is carrying these babies.

Now, I am all for a good scarf in the winter, but isn't it warm enough already in the summer? Do we HAVE to add on another layer? It looks very cute, yes, but where I live, summertime can be almost torturously hot, so even the thought of wearing a scarf makes me break into a sweat. I can barely stand to be clothed at all when it's that hot.

So tell me - - Do you sacrifice your comfort for fashion?

Oh, Paula and Too Much TV, Perhaps?

Paula was wearing THIS getup to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday night:

After being attacked by rabid teens at the mall.

Don't get me wrong, Paula - I am all for being young and hip. My husband teases me on a regular basis because I listen to 'hit' music most all the time. Kayne West is on my ringtone, for heaven sake. BUT - sometimes you can look like you are just trying TOO HARD. I believe you should dress your age. Now I'm not saying she needs to be wearing mom jeans and a button down, but come on already!

And while we're on the subject of TV (*ahem*) stars, when Dylan woke up this morning, I asked him if he had a good nights sleep.

"Yes I did." he replied.

"Did you have good dreams?" I asked.

"Yes I did, but it ended with something funny," he said.

"What was that?" I asked.

"At the end of my dream it said TO BE CONTINUED."

Yep - it's good to have something to look forward to.

Fashion Smashion

Are we SERIOUS here, people? The fine folks at Nordstrom are pushing these bad boys. They are called 'Star Torn' leggings.

I think 'crack ho' leggings might be a tad more appropriate.

I'm not sure how I feel about these. Seems a little pointless, don't you think?

Fashion Smashion at the Oscars

I LOVE the Oscars. I love the clothes, the stars, the musical numbers, all of it. It's like my Superbowl every year. I enjoyed last nights show a lot - some surprises, but it was mostly pretty predictable in the awards category. Here are my thoughts on some of the fashion for the evening...

Another miss from Tilda Swinton. Last year's gown was atrocious, this years gown was just bad. Perhaps next year she'll make it to mediocre...?

Ugh. Not. Good. Zack came into the room when Sophia Loren was talking, looked at the TV. "Ahh!" he said. Yes, Zack, "Ahhh!", indeed.

I didn't like Reese's dress this year at ALL. Kind of looked like she started with a really pretty blue dress, then wrapped a weird sash all over it. She can do better than that!

Philip Seymour Hoffman was just all shades of wrong. Leave the beanie at home, dude.

Meryl usually shows up wearing something really strange. I thought this was a decent look, considering some of her past dresses. Not my favorite, but not the worst, either.

Though I love and adore Kate, I wanted more from her, fashion wise. I liked this dress, but didn't love it.

Best looking couple of the night. Josh Brolin was rocking the tux and the goatee, and Diane Lane is just classically beautiful. Very nice!

Why, Jessica? Why? Not. Good. The weird sashy thing was just too....weird for me.

I like this a lot. I especially love Amy Adams' necklace here. Beautiful!

I loved this dress Alicia Keyes was wearing! I like it when they wear a color outside the norm. Very pretty! She's come a long way from when she first showed up on the music scene in braids and jeans, don't you think?

"Rockin around the Christmas tree..." Just plain wrong, Miley.

Well, it wasn't like I actually expected Mickey to show up wearing something remotely NORMAL or anything. Despite his fashion choices, I've got nothing but love for Mickey Rourke. Everyone loves a good comeback story!

No, Beyonce. No, no no. Looks like something that should be on a throw pillow.

Angelina looked very classy and elegant. Loved the green accents. Although I really can't remember ever seeing her in anything but black...? I'd like to see her in another color one of these days.

Simply georgous! This was my favorite dress of the evening. Yay, Anne Hathaway!

Dis-honorable mention: Whoopi Goldberg's dress was completely awful. Too awful to post!

What did you think? What were your favorites of the evening?

This Photo Makes Me Want to Give Up Texting Forever

Paris and Nicky Hilton at a fashion show. TEXTING and not even paying attention to the show.

And they get to sit by Nigel Barker, too.

Losers.

Seriously??

I need to know WHO could actually pull off wearing these leggings. Ugh.

I Need an Intervention

Hi. My name is Nicole. I am an award show addict.

It's true. I watch almost all of them. The Emmy's and the Oscars are like drugs to me. I love them! Sadly, as I watched the Emmy's last night, it seemed there were a lot of the recipients and nominees that I didn't even know. Soccer and this pesky thing called "motherhood" keeps getting in the way of all my TV viewing.

Gotta list some of my most and least fav's from the fashion department...

Christina Applegate looked fantastic. Love this! Hard to imagine her in the old days as Kelly Bundy on Married, with Children, isn't it?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus looks great too. I miss Elaine! I love it when people go a little nuts and wear something besides a "safe" color.

This is my favorite of the night. Classy! Love Marcia Cross in this.

Awful. Awful. Elizabeth Mitchell needs to take this nasty tin foil frock right back to the LOST island and burn it.

This dress is actually just OK, not horrible, (other than the fact that she LOOKS pregnant, but is NOT...) but I am pretesting the fact that Lauren Conrad was presenting at the show at ALL. Blah. Someone please make The Hills go away.

And that's my two cents!

I'll have a tyraid about plastic surgery in Hollywood on another post...

HOT and NOT at the Oscars

My sister Amanda has a post up on her blog about the best and worst dressed at the Oscars last night - I thought I would add my two cents!

HOT! LOVED this dress that Helen Mirren wore! This was my favorite of the night.

HOT! Cate Blanchett can do NO wrong - I love her, and I love this dress! Different and beautiful. Gorgeous pregnant lady.

NOT!! Ugh. This dress did NOTHING for Jennifer Hudson. I adore her, but definitely not her fashion choices.

HOT!
Can you tell I like red? Loved this dress that Anne Hathaway wore. Very classy.

NOT!! This black dress looks like a blanket. You can't see it in this picture, but there is one long sleeve and one short sleeve. Oh well - At least Tilda Swinton went home with an Oscar!
